Dance, when you’re broken open. Dance, if you’ve torn the bandage off. Dance in the middle of the fighting. Dance in your blood. Dance when you’re perfectly free. – Rumi
I am moving to Asheville, NC on May 14th. Currently, I am not teaching yoga or yoga dance in Connecticut. I had knee surgery to repair a meniscus tear the end of January. I needed time to recover and restore. I have been doing yoga at home and taking Barre3 classes in Avon.
My knee is healed and I’m able to do everything I did before surgery. But I still have a knee discomfort after I hike or take long walks. Yoga is my pain pill. I practice at home most days for at least 45 minutes. I work through the discomfort and always fee better afterwards.
I hope to teach yoga in Asheville and utilize my personal experience to create a Yoga for Self Care class. There are so many yogis and athletes who could benefit from self care yoga techniques. I’ll keep you posted. In the mean time, thanks for following Dance Your Yoga. Stay tuned!
